Getaway Shores is located on the pristine shoreline of Lake Mitawan in the Superior National Forest. It is directly on the water’s edge and has lake views from all the rooms. The front deck is a boat dock directly on the water from which you can fish, sunbathe, swim, drink wine, and relax.

We are just 30 miles from Lake Superior and are very close to the town of Ely. Ely celebrates the Blueberry Festival each year and people travel for miles to attend this one-of-a-kind celebration.
Our cabin is located near one of the main entrances to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). Visitors come from around the world to explore the BWCA's untouched wilderness and innumerable lakes and trails. For a memorable wilderness experience, make our cabin your home base!
