Amenities and Northwoods setting Fully modern Scandinavian cabin home. Woodfloors. Screen porch. All rooms on shoreline. The home was totally restored in 2001. There are 2 bedrooms, with large windows to the lake. Electrical baseboard heat, wood-burning stove and gas stove heat. Bathroom is fully modern, with stone floor and large walk-in shower for two. Modern kitchen, fully housekeeping with very nice dishes and cooking ware. Large gas range, microwave. The screen-in porch is a delightful place to read, eat or nap in the hammock. The deck overhangs the water, can dive into the water, step into boats or ski right unto the lake. The living, dining, kitchen area has 12-foot ceilings and skylights. These rooms have large windows to the lake. It feels like being in a house boat, as cabin is built right on the shore. The setting is a north woods forest of red pines, white pines, cedars and birches. Very pristine setting. Very much like being in the BWCA, with loons calling, northern lights and fantastic night sky. There are no buildings across - West side - of the lake. Cabin is situated on 220 feet of lake shore. Very private. Mitawan Lake is a clear, deep northwoods lake, with sandy beaches. The cabin has a private dock with fishing boat ( no motor), canoe & kayak(solo) for your use & enjoyment. Kitigan Lake can be reached to the north via a culvert under road. This lake has several islands, is a very good fishing lake and eagles nest on the tall white pines on one of its bays. The Finnish sauna is an 8'x8'x8' separate wood structure, just steps from the main cabin. A Finnish wood burning stove makes a fantastic fire that will assure your senses will not forget the smells, warmth and beautiful view of the lake through the sauna windows. An experience to savor and remember.
