The extensive cross country ski trails in the area are very varied. Ski across lakes, through red pine or birch forests. Easy to difficult trails. Sky all day without seeing other people.

The fabulous Flathorn-Gegoka Ski-Touring area trails can be accessed about 4 miles from the cabin. Or at the National Forest Lodge on Hwy 1. | |

Cabin rental is one hour north of Duluth, the gateway to the picturesque Arrow head region of northern Minnesota. Cabin is close to Ely, Minnesota. Remote, but one of the most unique winter wonderlands in the Midwest. Ski the Superior National Forest. Dog-sledding, ice fishing, snow mobiling, cross country skiing in or near the BWCA. Loaf, read, sleep, walk the outside woods or relax the mind and enjoy nature. |
